Sales order V Inventory

Hello.

I have a sales order with 55 items on. Is there a way to run a report that shows me the stock levels for each item?

Thanks

I hope you're doing well, Dansak.

I'd like to share two reports for your situation.

You can run the Open Sales Order by Item report to show the sales order you've created with the items on it. For tracking the stock levels, you can open the Inventory Stock Status by Item.

To run the reports, you can follow the steps below.

Open Sales Order by Item:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Select Sales and choose the Open Sales Order by Item.
  3. Set the Dates you want to view and click Refresh.

Inventory Stock Status by Item:

  1. Go back to the Reports menu.
  2. Select Inventory and choose the Inventory Stock Status by Item.
  3. Set the Dates you want to view and click Refresh.

I'm also sharing these articles to learn more about creating a sales order, running different reports in QuickBooks Desktop, and how you can customize them:

If you have any additional questions about the reports I've shared above, or you have other concerns, please let me know in your reply. I'd be happy to help you out again. Take care!

Thank you.

But neither report achieves what I need.

I need a report that shows the; Item, qty on sales order, quantity on hand and quantity on backorder.

I don't know if I am missing something here?

Thanks

Let me help share how you can run your report in QuickBooks Desktop, @Dansak.

As of the moment, there isn't an integrated way to run and customize a sales order report with the columns you need all at once. It's best to generate the reports shared by my colleague above and combine them as one Excel file.

Therefore, I've outlined these steps below so you're able to share your request directly with our product developers:

  1. Go to Help.
  2. Select Send Feedback Online.
  3. Click Product Suggestion.
  4. Under Product Area, choose Reports.
  5. Enter a few words describing how you wanted to utilize the report in question.
  6. Select Send Feedback.
  7. Click Close Window.

I'm adding this article for the steps you can use in understanding how you're able to manage business income and keep track of your expenses: Customize Financial Reports in QuickBooks Desktop.

I'm pleased to answer your concern for today. Please mention me in the comment section if you have any additional questions. I'll be glad to help. Take care and stay safe!
