Sales Tax Liability Report

I've got the information you need, Smitty2008.

The Sales Tax Liability Report summarizes the taxable and non-taxable sales tax you've collected and owes to tax agencies.

You can create a Non-Taxable Sales report in QuickBooks Online and customize it to the needed data to view non-taxable sales. I'll show you how:

  1. Go to the Reports tab.
  2. Key in and select Taxable Sales Detail.
  3. Select Customize.
  4. Choose the date range.
  5. On the Filter ▼ dropdown, select these checkboxes:
    • Customer Taxable to non-taxable sales.
    • Distribution Account to All Income/Expense Accounts
    • Product/Service Taxable to Non-Taxable
  6. Select  Run report.

Check out this article to learn more about the process: Create a Non-Taxable sales report in QuickBooks Online.

To personalize your report, refer to this article: Customize reports in QBO.

You may also think about memorizing the report. This allows you to save the current customized settings in QuickBooks Online.

Please let me know if you need more assistance with the QuickBooks Sales Tax report. I'll be happy to lend a hand.

Sales Tax Liability Report

I appreciate you reaching out here today, molly2023. Let me ensure these data shows on your Sales Tax Liability report.

When running specific reports, you'll want to review and check this month's transactions from your bank registers to enable them to show on the report. Also, you'll need to consider their accounting basis is set accurately.

If the same thing happens, let's perform some basic troubleshooting steps to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue. To begin, log in to your QuickBooks Online account in a private browser. Doing so will help disable the extensions and allow the program to run without storing cache files from saving your search history. You may use these keyboard shortcuts:

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P.
  • For Safari browser: Command + Shift + N.

If private browsing shows your transactions on your report, you can clear your regular browser's cache or use a different supported browser.

I'll be sharing this article for further steps on how to add other specific details to your reports: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.

Furthermore, I've added this reference to guide you in tracking tax payments and filing your sales taxes to avoid late returns and extra fees: File your sales tax return and record sales tax payments in QuickBooks Online.
