Sales/week Computation in Inventory Stock Status by item Report

Hi there, @yvettetsai. I'll show you how to compute the average sales per week.

The Sales/Week column tells you the average amount of each item sold via invoices/sales receipts per week based on the reporting date. To calculate the Average SPW (Sales Per Week), QuickBooks divides the quantity of sales for the period covered by the report by the number of weeks in that period.

Here's how:

  1. Get the quantity of sales for the period by double-clicking the item. This pulls up the Inventory Item QuickReport. Then, add all the items sold via invoices or sales receipts.
  2. Calculate the number of weeks for the period covered by the report.
  3. Divide the quantity of sales (1) by the number of weeks (2).
  4.

By following these steps, you can get the Sales/Week computation. Additionally, you can add more columns and filters to your report. Feel free to check this article for more info: Customize reports in QuickBooks Desktop.

I'm always here should you need further help understanding your reports. Have a good one, @yvettetsai.
