Hello, @gnomedog. I'd be glad to help you fix the search function in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Before anything else, have you encountered any error while trying to access or click the search button?
Any additional information will be much appreciated as this will help me provide an appropriate solution
In the meantime, we can check to see if this is something caused by the browser's cache. When this is full or corrupted, it can cause odd behaviors within QuickBooks.
To get started, log in to a private browser (this won't use the existing cache data). You can refer to the keyboard shortcuts below depending on the type of browser you're using:
- Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
- Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
- Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
- Safari: Command + Shift + N
If the Search feature works, you'll want to go back to your regular browser and clear the cache. This removes the cache data that's causing the issue.
Though, the issue might be with the browser itself, so you'll want to use other QuickBooks-supported browsers.
