Should the Sales Rep be cleared when you change an invoice in Acculynx? Every time I change an invoice amount or add additional work it wipes out the Sales Rep! :(

Let me share something about third-party integration, barbatrapid.

 

When you create an invoice in Acculynx, they'll send the data into QuickBooks automatically. They are the one who handles the  invoices for you. That means, QuickBooks is dependent on what data they provide. I suggest reaching out to them to see if they have an option not to remove the sales rep when you modify the invoice.

Acculynx lets me choose which Salesperson sold the job.  That is it.  It's always in Acculynx but when you change the contract worksheet, it doesn't keep the Sales Rep in QB online.  Takes it out totally.  Any suggestions!?

Thanks for following up with us. 

 

As mentioned by my colleague above, any invoice that is brought over by Acculynx is solely how they bring that into QuickBooks Online. You'd need to reach out to their support to know the reasoning behind losing the Sales Rep on the invoice. Although QuickBooks Online integrates with third-party apps, the third-party app is who would be in control of the data that comes into QuickBooks.

It does not come over from Acculynx, I put them in myself when sold in QB online.  But it will wipe the Sales Rep's name out whenever there is a change in the invoice.  

QB claims I need to clear my cache and cookies, which I have done many times and it still wipes it out when a change is done. 

It is very annoying and I'm sure that they can make a adjustment to this field.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) depends on what was applied from Acculynx. You might need to reach out their support team. They will be able to check the settings and the configuration of the third-party application.

It is not in Acculynx side, it never comes over from Acculynx.  I put it in manually after job is sold in QB.

Hey there, @barbatrapid.

 

While Acculynx doesn't pull in that information, if it updates a sales form with data you've manually inputted, anything not sent by the integration will be cleared. This is a limitation to this specific application. As my colleagues have mentioned, I recommend reaching out to their support team to see if they will be able to add the ability to specify a sales rep on their side to be sent over so that you don't run into this issue again.

Why can't Quickbooks help me with this solution?  I am sure IT at QB can program something in that keeps the Sales Rep and not clearing it out every time we change an invoice.  

QB really doesn't help me much in nothing and I guess that is written in stone.
