Someone is using intuit.com to spoof geek squad invoices. I think they may have hacked intuit.

I appreciate you sharing this incident here in the Community, @userkeithaymar. Let's validate official Intuit correspondence and websites to spot spoof invoice emails and prevent this incident to happen in the future.

The best protection against spoof emails is awareness and prevention. All official Intuit websites end in *intuit.com. A few examples include quickbooks.intuit.com, e3.intuit.com, and click.notifications.intuit.com.

If you suspect you have received a phishing or spoof invoice email targeting the Intuit brand, don't open the message or click any links until you're able to make sure it's from us. Go to the Intuit Online Security Center and select Go to security notices. This will help you spot scammers and see the updated list of fake Intuit emails and customer support scams.

In case you're unable to find a similar email within the Security notices, select the Report a suspicious email link from the Let us know about a fake email section to file a report.

To learn more about recognizing official Intuit websites and spotting suspicious emails, I'd recommend checking out this article: Identify suspicious activity, phishing scams, and potential fraud.

Also, to further guide you in managing your QuickBooks account and the growth of your business using QuickBooks Online (QBO), I would encourage you to visit one of our Help pages: QuickBooks Support. It includes help articles, Community discussions with other QuickBooks users, and video tutorials, to name a few.

Please don't hesitate to comment below if you have other concerns about spoof invoice emails or questions about managing transactions in QBO. I'm always ready to help. Take care, @userkeithaymar.

How about you guys work on removing hackers instead of taking money from them.  It's as if you are allowing this to occur and you are doing nothing about it except say don't open it up.  I keep forwarding e-mails to [email address removed] and I get the same canned response..Thanks..we'll look into it..

@Useless1It

They are not hackers. Anyone can send you an invoice and pretend to be someone else. The problem is that if Intuit took this scam very seriously, they would immediately investigate the sender, freeze their QBO accounts and refund any payments to the victims. wishful thinking? 8p

The next day after doing my taxes through TurboTax, I've received three emails listing three invoices charging me for $200 each. I filter my emails so that only trusted senders I've specifically chosen show up in my inbox. I believed these emails were from Intuit. I called the phone number and was immediately talking to an Indian man. He wanted me to install an app on my Android phone to supposedly cancel a service. I checked my bank account and saw that I was not charged for anything at all. As soon as I said such, he hung up the phone. This is clearly a case of scammers with access to Intuit's servers sending emails to people using their service. My information is not safe. THIS IS TAX INFORMATION. Yikes!
