Are you by chance referring to Statement of Cash Flows report? I don't think they have "Statment of Retained Earnings" as a standard report in QuickBooks. Retained Earnings is a closing entry from the P&L at the fiscal year-end (automatically done by QB). But you can run the "Account Quick Report" from the Chart of Accounts, just double-click the Retained Earnings account.
Thanks for the response vpcontroller. The Statement of Cash Flows is entirely different. The Statement of Retained Earnings is a short statement as this example (attached) that I found on the internet. It involves the Owner's Equity Account. Is there a way to create a report for this?
This is something not available in QuickBooks, I believe. You will need to do Account Analysis on an Excel spreadsheet on your own. It seems like your attached screenshot is exactly of that.
I happened to stumble across Retained Earnings in the Blanace Sheet Report. It's a line item in Equity, towards the bottom. I can click on that and it gives me the details of what's in there. Is that what you're looking for or helpful?
