Statements by Customer Type - Customers with Multiple Locations Not Working?

Hi,

I know we can send statements by Customer of Type. However, we've noticed an issue with this.

We have modified the customers for the desired customer type by editing the customer(s) and adding this under Edit Customer > Additional Info tab. We then create statements, select customers by Customers of Type (yes, all other options are correct and the selected customer type has a bunch of active customers with open balances - the preview customers also shows the list of customers).

The issue is that it's not pulling up even a fraction of the customers. Again, as stated, I can see the preview list of customers selected and that is working fine. However, preview/email batch forms shows a lot less customers than the entire list (open balance accounts).

If a customer has more than one job location, it's omitted from the statement. So unless the customer has one location/everything is billed under the billing address, it won't populate the remaining jobs with an open balance. I find this odd considering we can select a customer manually (either by selecting One Customer or Multiple) and it will display all jobs with open balances just fine. Odd.

I will note that we added the Customer Type to the customer only and not to each and every job location. If this is required, that's a bit ridiculous considering we can have customers with hundreds of locations. We also have other software that syncs to QB, creating new job locations within so if this is a requirement then there's zero chance this will always be updated/accurate because that would require constant attention to new jobs/manual work every time we add a new location otherwise it would be excluded from the statement and therefore creating an inaccurate statement.

Any resolution for this? The objective here is to just send batch statements by Customer Type and fire out the statements via email.

Thanks!

Statements by Customer Type - Customers with Multiple Locations Not Working?

There were some issues I've read about with statements in early releases of some versions of QuickBooks. They might be fixed by now.

Did you ever get this resolved?
