The "Paid" across the invoice is blocking important information, How do I fix that?

When I enter a payment, the system automatically inserts a "Paid" across the details of the invoice thus blocking what is written. Can this be relocated, or an option not include it?

The "Paid" across the invoice is blocking important information, How do I fix that?

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, thidon-martin.

Before we get started, I'd like to get more information about what happened to your invoice. This will help determine the troubleshooting steps we have to run to fix the issue.

What particular content is the PAID stamp covering? Does it also appear in the Print and Preview window? I'd appreciate it if you could send me a screenshot of the invoice for visual reference. Just be sure to hide any personal information.

In the meantime, let's navigate to the Content tab to modify or move the details from your invoice, including the website, address, as well as label, and widths. Please keep in mind that we're unable to change the position of the PAID stamp on the sales entry. Let me help and show you how to get there.

Here's how:

  1. In QuickBooks Online (QBO), navigate to the Gear icon in the left corner and choose Custom Form Styles under Your Company.
  2. Click on the Content tab.
  3. From this window, you can select which part of your invoice you need to customize.

For more in-depth information about this process, head to Step 3 in this article: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.  It contains instructions for fine-tuning what appears in the following sections: Header, Table, and Footer.

Furthermore, you can use our online resources to learn more about managing your company's income  and handling other customer-related tasks like receiving payments, processing refunds, or issuing credits, to name a few.

Reach out to me again if you still have questions about invoices, processing payments, or other QuickBooks concerns. I'll get back to you and make sure everything is in order, thidon-martin.

this "Paid" accross the description on an invoice as you stated cannot be repositioned, can it not included then as an option? poor design that it blocks line items on an invoice rendering it unreadable.

The "PAID" stamp is always covering important repair and warranty information. We really need a way to be able to alter where this "PAID" stamp is being placed. These make the invoices look so unprofessional and like we are trying to hide information.

I understand the importance of clear and professional documentation, HVAC. When using the Other templates, the Paid stamp is usually placed in the center of the printed invoices.

As a workaround, consider using the Modern or Standard invoice template for your printed invoices which places the paid stamp at the bottom right corner.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Sales tab, and select All sales.
  2. Open the paid invoice.
  3. Click on the Manage tab.
  4. Locate the Design section and select it.
  5. Click either the Modern or Standard template.

To have the option to move around the paid stamp in the printed paid invoice while using the other templates, I encourage submitting feedback to our Product Engineers about this. Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner.
  2. Select Feedback under Profile.
  3. Share your feedback.
  4. Click Next to submit.

In addition, you can generate statements to show customers summaries of their invoices.
