Use Transfer instead. Transfer from your checking account, and to your credit card.

Thanks for bringing this up here, Anna.

Let's ensure to show the payment amount field in the Pay down credit card section and recognize your credit card accounts.

First off, we can access your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account via a private browser to determine if this is a browser-related concern. This doesn't store cache files that may cause odd behaviors when running web-based programs. Check out the shortcut keys below:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

Then, check the payment amount field. If this works, clear the cache of your regular browser to remove accumulated data. If the issue persists, you can use another supported browser or device. It might be that the current one you're using has a temporary issue with the program.

If the same issue happens, I recommend contacting the QBO Care Team. They can pull up your account in a safe environment and look for the root cause of it. Once they find out that several users are experiencing the same issue an investigation will be created to find a fix.

Concerning your unrecognized credit cards, let's check their Account type if they fall into Credit Card. Here's how:

  1. From the Transactions tab, select Chart of accounts.
  2. Look for the credit card account.
  3. Once you find it, click the dropdown icon beside the View register and below the Actions column. Then, pick Edit.
  4. Check the Account type. If it's not change it to Credit Card.
  5. When done, click Save.
