There is no Balance sheet option in Reports

Hello there, @gbcl. I want to ensure you'll be able to see the balance sheet option in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

To clarify, may I know the company type (Sole proprietor, Nonprofit organization (Form 990), etc.) of your QBO account? This may be the reason you're unable to see the Balance sheet option. To verify, let's check your company settings. Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon and select Accounts and settings.
  2. From there, select Company.
  3. Next, go to the Company type section and check type entered in the Tax form field

For reference, check out this article: Edit company settings in QuickBooks Online.

If in case your account is a Nonprofit, the Balance sheet report shows as Statement of Financial Position. You can check it by going to the Reports menu. Then, scroll down to the Business overview section.

Also, the availability of a specific report depends on your QBO subscription plan. For instance, the Balance Sheet Summary report is unavailable in QBO Simple Start plan. To get more information, read this page: Reports included in your QuickBooks Online subscription.

If you want to email and print reports in QBO, you can refer to this article for the detailed steps: Run reports in QuickBooks Online.

If you have any other concerns running account balances in QBO, please don't hesitate to leave a reply below. Have a good one and stay safe.
