Reinstalling app did not help.
Here is a screenshot of the new thing that popped up on the invoice screen of the app.....
"Sales Tax is..." With a drop down. Never seen this before. This is what is causing the problems.

I'll share some information about invoicing with sales tax in the QuickBooks Online mobile app.
According to your screenshot, the sales tax drop-down option appears on your invoice only if you've configured specific sales tax settings for your customers or products and services items.
With that, you can go to the web version of QuickBooks Online on a computer and review your sales tax settings to ensure that they are properly configured. Additionally, if you continue to have issues with the sales tax when creating invoices in the QBO mobile app, I'd recommend reading our Support Team for further assistance.

I am having the same issue and QB has been absolutely no help.
It was magically fixed for half a day..... Then went back to the same thing again. Why don't they make sure stuff works before changing it and alert people to it. Now this new invoice format they rolled out took the message box off the invoices....wtf

Since you're unable to save or process invoices in relation to sales taxes, I'd recommend performing some of our recommended troubleshooting processes.

If you're still unable to save or process invoices because of required sales tax which can't be added, you'll want to get in touch with our Customer Care team and reference our investigation (INV-102102) about this topic. They'll be able to pull up your account in a secure environment, conduct further research, and re-open the investigation if necessary.
