This is our year 2 of using QB, we enter payee/expense by date/amount -- all 19 expenses are reverting to one date and being added to 18 expenses, wtf?

Already did a reply that was really an edit to this message since we are STILL waiting for help and phone and chat support is non-existent.  We checked our audit logs and it is proof that there is a major glitch going on -- we entered individual transactions/payment amounts by date and it kept adding the total from 2018 to each individual one for 2019.  This makes no sense -- not user friendly, not intuitive at all -- plan on canceling this service due to the lack of timely support.

Just want to add we are close to canceling this service and asking for refund.  We have spent 2 hours already trying to get help with a simple question that no one can answer.  First was on hold (hour plus wait times) so gave up, then tried messaging option twice, no response even though it says five minute wait.  Then we called again and were given this number [removed] to call for support that is only a recording that says we have to come back here to get help from the community or use chat support.  Really QB?  $300 a year for this service and we can't get support!?!??!

Thanks for the feedback, @RockyC.

I want you to know that your voice matters and I understand your desire to connect with our phone support right away. Since it's the end of the tax season, we typically handle a huge volume of chats and questions. This is why it takes a longer time to get in touch with them.

We'd like to have this opportunity to better help you in a timely and efficient manner in the future. That said, want to make it up to you in the Community space.

What you're experiencing right now can be caused by too much cache files stored in your browser. We can perform some basic troubleshooting steps to fix this error.

First, use a private window to access QuickBooks. It is also known as InPrivate in Internet Explorer and Incognito mode in Google Chrome. This a special mode where the browser doesn't record the browsing activity on the local device, so no trace will be left on the computer. Let's access QBO in an incognito by following these steps:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome).
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox or Internet Explorer).
  • Control + Option + P (Safari).
  •

If it works, then let’s go back to your browser and clear the cache. These caches of data are essentially junk files and can be safely deleted to free up storage space.

If the same problem occurs, try using a different browser. This might be a temporary issue with QuickBooks and the current browser that you use.

If there's anything else that I can help you with, please let me know in the comment section down below.

Appreciate the reply Reymond but please know we already exhausted all of the basic troubleshooting including clearing cache files before ever reaching out for help.  This was not the problem.  There is a serious glitch.  As for support, I get it and would expect this time of year would be busier than most - but the point is, customers getting sent into a void and endless loop of poorly managed expectations is the problem.  Don't give someone a phone number that only goes to a recording telling them to do all they have already done which is why they called in the first place.  A recording stating customer service hours would be a much better option.  Also, the chat support should not say it's available and be with you in five minutes if that is also closed on weekends.  We tried that twice.  Like I said, over it, giving up on this - shouldn't be that hard to use.  I also tried to communicate our desire to cancel and get our money refunded but I can't even communicate that to anyone currently.
