Transaction Memo Line

Hi there - I am reconciling expenses in QuickBooks Desktop.  I can run a QuickReport on the individual's credit card statement, however, on the report, when I customize to show the "Memo" line, it only shows the memo line at the top.  Is there a way to customize the report so show the actual transaction memo line.  For instance, if I open the individual transaction, at the bottom, I can choose the account that it is being allocated to, it shows the amount, then has "Memo" where I put certain information.  I am looking to pull THAT information in the report.  Is it possible? I attached a screenshot.

To clarify a few things , can you provide me with a screenshot of the report so we can see the difference that you're referring to? 

 

You can also try customizing it to see if it meets your needs. 

 

Once I have that screenshot, I'll be able to determine the best solution for your business. I'll be looking for your response!

Transaction Memo Line

Thank you for your reply.  Sorry for my delay, as I have been out of the office.  I have attached a screenshot.  As you can see, the Memo line in the report is pulling from the Memo line at the top of the transaction (from the first attachment), instead of the Memo line in the transaction details at the bottom.

Based on the photos you gave, it seems that the report is working as designed. With that being said, our Customer Support Team can review your account further to ensure there isn't another cause of this problem. Here's how to get in touch with them: 

 

  1. Go to the Help menu. 
  2. Press the QuickBooks Desktop Help option. 
  3. Click the Contact Us button/hyperlink.
  4. Enter your question and hit Let's talk
  5. Scroll down and pick to Get a callback
