Transactions from bank not showing

Hi all, I use quickbooks online and have TD bank for my business account.  I am trying to import the csv/quickbooks format documents from the banks website to quickbooks, so i can file taxes.  The problem is, transactions are only showing up for some months, and not others.  There is a huge blank gap from June 2021 to August 2022, where it just says there arent any transactions.  Looking at the bank statement, there were at least 2 or 3 per day.  What do I do?  I tried manually importing, and have connected QBO to my bank a dozen times.  I am out of ideas, please help!

@MakoNerd

Utilize the trial version of MT Online to isolate the issue. It is designed to import into any bank or credit card in QuickBooks Online, so there is no specific setting needed. If the same error persists, there is an ongoing problem at your bank or connection.

Transactions from bank not showing

I am having the same problem. All of last year is not showing up from my bank account. I have it linked, I have had it linked for a few years, but last year just isn't there. I have been messing around with it for a few days and just can't figure this out.

Transactions from bank not showing

Hello there, @yvzsk.

We've recently received similar concerns about the bank's missing transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Our software engineers are already aware of this and now investigating the root cause of the issue so they can provide you with a timely solution. For now, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online support so they can add you to the list of affected users. This way, you'll get notified through email once the issue has been resolved.

In the meantime, I suggest manually importing the missing transactions into QuickBooks. Let me guide you on the steps:

To start, get transactions from your bank. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your bank or credit card's website.
  2. Follow your bank's instructions for how to download CSV files of your transactions to your computer. Every financial institution has different steps. Here are steps for Bank of America, Chase, and Wells Fargo.
  3. Check the date range for the download. It should be at least one day before the date of your oldest transaction.
  4. Download your transactions. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it, like your computer's desktop.
  5. Review the file format and size.

Once transactions are downloaded with the correct file format and size, you can then proceed to manually upload them. Here's how:

  1. In your QBO account, go to the Banking tab (Take me there).
  2. Select the blue tile for the account you want to upload the transactions into.
  3. Click the Link account dropdown and then Upload from file.
  4. Select Drag and drop or select files and select the file you downloaded from your bank. Then select Continue.
  5. In the QuickBooks account ▼ dropdown, select the account you want to upload the transactions into. Then select Continue.
  6. Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks. Then select Continue.
  7. Select the transactions you would like to import. Then select Continue.
  8. Click Yes.
  9. When you accept your transactions, select Done.

For detailed steps, kindly visit: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

However, if the issue gets resolved and automatically downloads the missing entries, you have the option to exclude these transactions to avoid duplication.

Moreover, I'll also share this article that can serve as your reference to learn how to review downloaded bank and credit card transactions and put them in the correct accounts in QuickBooks: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

I'm looking forward to getting this resolved. Feel free to leave a reply if you require further assistance with managing your QuickBooks account. The Community team always has your back. Keep safe.
