Why doesn't the Trial Balance in QBO offer the same level of customization as other reports?
It does not offer the "Filter" option.
This means that I can not create a Trial Balance for each specific business that I have in QBO.
How can I provide the Business Trial Balance to my accountant without this functionality?
Let me provide some information about running and customizing Trial Balance report by business, @SDX21.
Trial Balance is a compact report that displays the debit and credit balances of each account on your chart of accounts over time. I can see the importance of having the Filter option to the Trial balance report. However, this is how the report is build.
To dig and create a specific report, you can pull up the Profit and Loss, Account List, Transaction Detail by Account, and other QuickBooks report to analyze the numbers and come up with a Trial Balance by Business with the help of an accountant as your professional consultant.
In addition, you can combine financial reports, by clicking the Export button. Here's how:

I'm having the same issue where I can't filter a Trial Balance report.
Are you saying this simply isn't possible in QBO?

I'm on QBO Essentials. Thanks.
Hi there.
Trial Balance reports currently can't be filtered in any QuickBooks Online subscription for specific businesses only. This is how the report works, as it only shows debit and credit columns.
As a workaround, you can create a specific report by pulling up different reports that can relate to a Trial Balance by Business with the help of your accountant. You can also combine financial and Trial Balance reports by exporting them and manually customizing them in Excel.
I also recommend sending feedback to our product engineers to add a vote to this feature.

Why would you need to filter the trial balance? A TB is a complete listing of all debit and credit balances as of a certain date. Any filtering of the report would eliminate entries that allow it to balance and then would not be a true trial balance. Look at the Balance Sheet Detail Report. You can filter that and it might give you what you need.
