Thank you for posting in the Community. I'd be happy to help you check if the TroheStar Barcode Scanner is compatible with QuickBooks Desktop. 

To begin, let's make sure that the following specifications must be met for a USB Barcode Scanner to work with the Advanced Inventory. Please take note that QuickBooks only supports these formats:

• The scanner must support EAN-13 (International Article Number, formerly European Article Number) and Code-128 barcodes.
• The scanner must produce a single carriage return at the end of the barcode.

After that, you can use the Barcode Scanner Tester App to see if QuickBooks will recognize your scanner.

Here’s how:

1. Download and run the Barcode Scanner Tester.
2. Enter the information in Step 1, then select Analyze.
3. Select Step 2, then select the blank field.
4. Scan any barcode, and select Analyze.
5. You’re ready to start using your scanner if you receive a success message.
