Unable to download AMEX transcation

I’m here to ensure that you’re able to download your American Express transactions in QuickBooks Desktop, @lcwong.

 

Beforehand, I’d like to ask if you encountered any errors when downloading your transactions? Any additional information will get us closer to a resolution.

 

Usually, there are a few possible reasons why your transactions aren’t downloaded. These are: 

 

  • The bank had changed its service offerings.
  • There's system maintenance.
  • Data issue.

 

To get around this issue, you can utilize the Verify and Rebuild Data tool to identify and resolve the most commonly known data issues within your company file. I’ll show you how: 

 

  1. Choose Window, then Close All.
  2. Go to the File menu, and then click Utilities.
  3. Select Rebuild Data.
  4. Follow the onscreen instruction to back up your data.
  5. When the tool finishes, select OK.
  6. Navigate to the File menu, then click Utilities.
  7. Click Verify Data, then select Rebuild Now once QuickBooks finds an issue with your company file.

 

If you haven’t encountered any error messages, update your QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release to keep your software up-to-date and have the latest features and fixes. 

 

Furthermore, I suggest reaching out to the American Express Support team. There's a possibility that they're having system maintenance. Thus, you're unable to download your transactions.

Appreciate your timely response, @lcwong.

 

I wanted to make sure this matter is addressed accordingly so I wanted to ask for a few clarifications first. Have you received an error message saying you're unable to download your AMEX transactions? Perhaps, a screenshot of your banking feeds helps me share the resolution needed to resolve this one.
