Hi everyone,
Long time user of QBO
Looking for the best way to reconcile a Company's undeposited funds at a point in time.
The logic is simple (I just need to see all received payments that have not been attached to a deposit at a point in time), but can become a grueling excel exercised depending how well data is maintained.
QBO links these received payments/deposits together behind the scenes, so Im hopeful that theres a way that QBO can tell me all received payments that have not yet been deposited (at a point in time).
The deposit screen sort of does it, but not helpful if Im trying to backdate nor can I download/reconcile with the screen
Thanks for posting here in the Community, Paul. I'd be happy to share the guidelines to help with your reconciliation.
Since we're unable to reconcile an Undeposited Funds account because it functions differently from other accounts we see on the reconciliation page. With that, I suggest you check it in your UF and deposit that transaction, you can then proceed to reconcile them. When we reconcile an account, we compare the bank statement (cleared and deposited) to what is in QuickBooks for a specific time period.
To review and manually reconcile the Undeposited Funds account, we can follow these steps:
You can utilize these articles so you can deposit these payments to their corresponding bank accounts first. Next, you can reconcile the bank to which you deposited the funds. You can follow the workflow here:

If you have any further concerns, don't hesitate to post them here. Have a great day!
Thank you so much for your reply.
COA->Undeposited Funds -> View Register appears to be the best way to identify undeposited funds as of today.
The issue I am running into is trying to furnish this information historically for audit support.
Any ideas there? Thanks again!
