Update COGS in A2X and delete duplicate COGS in QBO.

I use A2X to send COGS to QBO. I have sent updated COGS. How to do delete the old duplicate journal entry for COGS? I can see the journal entries if I run a P/L report but no way to delete the duplicate.

Update COGS in A2X and delete duplicate COGS in QBO.

Hello,  obonnaius.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. I can help and walk you through how to delete the old duplicate journal entry. Here's how:

  1. Click on the appropriate journal entry to open it.
  2. Press on 'More' at the bottom of the page and choose 'Delete' from the options.

This will delete the journal entry and remove any match that you had in your banking section of QuickBooks Online.

You can also check this article that provides the complete details in using the Advanced feature in QBO: Search for transactions

I also recommend consulting with your accountant to ensure the accuracy of your accounts after deleting the duplicate.

Don't hesitate to stop by if you need anything else. Have a great day!

Thanks for your reply, I got my housekeeping completed.

I was using the Reports -> Balance Sheet to get to an Inventory transaction report, that is what I was using to update. Your answer was the correct solution to help me.

I later discovered its a bit easier using the Chart of Accounts to update through my Inventory account history. In there Delete is a bit more obvious.
