Updated estimate format on the apple accounting app still does not work and it is not giving me the option to revert to the classic view?

When I click Estimate, then the plus icon, then add customer it does not find all my customers. Also, if it finds my customer it does not find all my products and services. Then if I manage to get thru all that and click convert to invoice; nothing happens. Talk to customer support about 3 months ago and again today with no fix available. Have already removed and reinstalled app on iphone and have checked customer list and products and services list online and its all there.

Hi there, @SarabiaHVACR. Let's team up to fix these issues inside your QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile application.

First and foremost, know this isn't the experience we want you to have when using the mobile application. Reading through your post, it looks like you already tried the uninstall and reinstall troubleshooting on your application. Since the issue persists, we recommend clearing the app's data to ensure it removes the excess data you have inside the mobile app. We'll write down the steps below to get you going:

  1. From your phone's settings, select Settings.
  2. Then, click on General and choose iPhone Storage.
  3. Select an app that's taking up a lot of space. To free up the storage without deleting the documents and data for the app.
  4. Click Offload App.

Also, you'll want to ensure you're using the latest version of the QBO mobile app to take advantage of the latest fixes when using the program. If the issue persists, we recommend contacting our Customer Care Team so they can create and conduct further investigation to determine the root cause of the problem. See this page for more details: QuickBooks Online Support.

In the meantime, you can access your company file using a browser. Create and switch your estimate to the old layout or classic view. This way, you complete your activities. To switch to the Old layout, here's how:

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. On the left navigational bar, click the +New button.
  3. Select Estimate.
  4. Click Old layout.
  5. Select the Switch layout button.
  6. Choose the reason for switching back to the old layout and then click Leave and submit button.

Furthermore, please see this page to learn more about features available inside the mobile app: Compare mobile app features.

We'll be around if you need further assistance managing estimates or if you encounter errors when performing tasks inside QuickBooks. Feel free to post here anytime so we can help you out. Keep safe.

Unloading the app did not work so I switched back to the classic view for now.

Is there a fix for the apps yet? Both IOS and iPad Apps have gone to the new layout and it’s horrible. If the answer is to “just use the browser” I’ll be looking for an alternative product. Hopefully there is a fix.

Thanks for joining this thread, @NCKC2. I understand how essential it is to have an option to revert to the classic view in the QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app. I'm here to share the steps to submit a feature request to make it available again.

I recognize how beneficial it is for you and your business to have the option to stay within your layout preference for your sales transactions. However, the option to change or revert to the old layout is currently unavailable in the QBO Simple Start and Essentials versions.

We strive to deliver high-quality service to our users, and our utmost priority is ensuring our product is user-friendly. With this, I recommend sending your feedback to our Product Development Team so they can review it and consider implementing it back into the program. Here's how you can submit feature requests using your QBO mobile app:

  1. Go to the Menu ☰ icon, then select the All tab.
  2. Click Request a feature.
  3. Type in your feedback and product suggestions.

Alternatively, you can use your mobile device's browser to submit feedback easily. See the steps in this article: How do I submit feedback?

Moreover, check out this article to personalize your invoices and change things like your logo and default message using your QBO mobile app: Customize invoices on the QuickBooks Online mobile app. Otherwise, utilize QBO on the web to customize other sales forms.

I'll be here to continue helping if you have any other concerns or questions about managing your invoice transactions. It's always my pleasure to help you out again. Keep safe!
