Vendor balances at yearend Quickbooks Enterprise

Hello,

I have several vendors that are requesting we sign a document for their audit stating how much we owed them as of December 31, 2022.  Since it is February, I was looking for a report so I could compare the vendor balances.  I have since paid some of these vendor bills.  I cannot find a way to get this yearend figure.  Is it possible?

Thanks, Laura

Hi there, @Laura2200.

You can run and customize the Vendor Balance Summary report to get the vendor balances for year-end. Let me guide you how.

  1. Go to the Reports menu, then select Vendors & Payables and choose Vendor Balance Summary.
  2. From the Dates drop-down, choose Last Year or Last Fiscal Year.
  3. Click Refresh to generate Jan 01, 2022 - December 31, 022 data.
  4. Then, export the report to an Excel file.

Once done, you can also run the same report and filter the date from Jan 01, 2022 - February 2023. Then, export it again to an Excel file. From the Excel file, you can compare the vendor balances on both reports.

You may also want to memorize reports in QuickBooks Desktop. This will allow you to save it with its current customization settings.

Feel free to come back to this post if you have other concerns or follow-up questions about running reports. I'll be around to provide further assistance.

That was easy.  Not sure why I could not find it.

Thank you so much for your quick reply!
