We have 3 wedding venues and about 250 events each year. Any suggestions on how to set these up? I know classes are limited to 40 for QB online so not sure the best way

Consider having a project management app to integrate with QBO.

That's not really an option for us.  I want to be able to do it in QB.  I know there's way but do I use Classes, Projects or something else?

Hi @eward-eislerland,

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community. I can share additional information about tracking events in different venues using QuickBooks Online.

You have multiple events to track in a year, but your version can only accommodate 40 combined classes and locations. Aside from using a project management app, you can also upgrade to QuickBooks Online Advanced.

This version grants you unlimited access to classes and locations. Class or Location tracking represents meaningful segments in your company.

You can pull up detailed reports from the products and services of each venue. It's the closest option you can use directly in our system.

For more details about the usage limits for each subscription level, visit this link: Learn about usage limits in QuickBooks Online.

Also, you can run class reports to view your sales, costs, or profitability by segment. Check out this article you can use to plan and set a budget ahead if necessary: Run reports by class.

Post a response if you have more questions about setting up your business in QuickBooks. I'll keep an eye on this thread. Please take care.
