We have enabled customer invoice payment in our overall setup and invoice setup by credit card, bank and paypal but customers can't pay by paypal

They also can't pay by bank transfer.  We have not been asked to provide any additional information to enable this facility.  Why is this not working?

I appreciate your efforts so far, Kogexx, and thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. Let me assist you further in ensuring that your customers can pay the invoice via PayPal or Bank transfer.

You mentioned that these payment methods are enabled for your invoices, yet your customers are still experiencing issues when trying to pay using PayPal or Bank transfer.

Please let us know if your customers are receiving error messages when using their preferred payment method, or if they are not seeing this payment option at all when trying to pay the invoice. Are all of your customers encountering the same problem? Any additional information will help identify the root cause of the issue.

In the meantime, you can let your customers use a private browser when paying their invoices to see if this is caused by their browser. Use the following shortcuts:

  • Safari: Control + Option + P
  • Google Chrome: Press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Firefox or Internet Explorer: Ctrl + Shift + P

If they can now pay through PayPal and Bank Transfer, let them go back to their regular browser and clear their cache so the system can start fresh. Otherwise, let them use another supported browser.

Well but that's not the problem.  As I said, we have done all that.  The problem, which is a QB programming issue, is that we have enabled these forms of payment both in our general setup and in the invoice setup and the forms of payment appear on the invoice but in fact cannot be used to pay.  If someone knows what we did wrong in setting them up it would be helpful.  Thanks.

I'll ensure you can utilize your preferred payment method for invoices for your business and customer's convenience, kogexx. I'll be providing some troubleshooting steps to address your concern.

If your customers received an error when attempting to pay their invoices, please note they need to follow the instructions from the message.

Otherwise, I recommend clearing the cache from your regular browser. If the issue persists, you can proceed to these steps to fix it immediately:

  1. Locate and open the invoice email.
  2. Right-click the Review and pay option and copy the URL.
  3. Paste the link into the address bar of a web browser.
  4. You can use another browser and ensure it's up to date if the link doesn't work.
