It is a known issue and Intuit is aware. They will be contacting your customer and explaining the issue on their side and also refunding the client for you. Do not refund the client. You will only see one payment on your qbo file. Leave it and let Intuit do the refunding on their end.
Refunds were processed today so your client should see that today or tomorrow on their account. If not, you will need to contact merchant services.
Lynda
Thank you Lynda. I spoke with someone in payments earlier today. They did not inform me they would contact my client directly. I know that did not happen. I was told the fix will happen tonight and that the credit for the double bill should be on my clients CC tomorrow. It better happen, or I’m going to lose a client. This was a $51,000 error!!! My clients CC is now frozen because she is over her limit, and she verbally accused me of being a crook. I have been upset and anxious all day today. My integrity has been questioned because of Intuit’s error, and I am paying the ultimate price because I have no control over the situation.
I am reading responses elsewhere from QB employees that the funds will appear on the clients CC 1-3 days from now. If it takes that long, I am royally screwed. And if that indeed is the case, I will quit Quickbooks. This is the second big mess up in two weeks on my account. I received a large CC payment and the “investigation” took 5 business days. It was only resolved after I spoke on the phone to a QB supervisor and threatened the next call would be from my attorney. Very shoddy way to do business.
How do I get overcharges back as promised by Intuit. Its Quickbooks billing tripled my monthly bill from ($28 to $74 for the past three months. Despite repeated calls and promises to credit and return to correct billing y its rep, Intuit just attempted to recharge me the new $74 monthly fee. When the credit card didnt go through Intuit immediately locked my account. Ive had intuit since the late 80's when it was just Quicken. Disappointment has reined since the early 2000's as it seems Intuit has become a darker shady business with Rocket loans and other branches of business. Watch your credit cards and auto pays to Intuit or end up like me hostage to your financials for $300 and searching for a new book keeper with less slezzy tatics - Acct manager Bostonian Property Boston Ma.
