What happened to the invoice form? How do I get the old invoice form back?

Welcome to the Community, Cconte.

I can see the efficiency of switching back to the old format of the invoice you were used to in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I'm here to share details on the updates made by our QuickBooks team.

QBO Plus and Advanced users can switch back layouts from old to new ones, and vice versa. This allows the user to test the new experience and the updated version until being migrated. However, QBO Simple Start and Essential users don't have this option.

If you're subscribed to QBO Plus and Advanced, let's perform troubleshooting steps to get back from the old layout. Start by logging in to your QuickBooks Online account using a private or incognito browser.

You can use these keyboard shortcuts below:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N

From there, check if you can return to the old layout of the invoice. If you can, return to your regular browser and clear its cache. Clearing your cache helps clean up browser cookies that block web pages from loading.

Furthermore, you can utilize this article to learn more about the latest update made by QuickBooks with invoices: See what's new with estimates and invoices in QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, to learn more about the new features of QBO, you can check out this website: QuickBooks Product Update.

Let me know if you have more invoice forms or any QBO-related inquiries by commenting below. I'll be here to assist you at any time. Have a great day ahead!
