What reports can I subtotal by Due Date?

Hello!

I am a contractor using Quickbooks Desktop: Premier Contractor Edition 2020.

My goal is to have a snapshot report that shows what checks I can expect to receive this week, next week, etc.

Whatever report I use, I want to have Totals to be made by Due Date, but "Due Date" is not an option in the Totals list for the Aging report or Transaction Detail by Account.

I can't seem to find a shared report that has this either.

Does anyone have a better idea of what kind of report I can manipulate that will at least allow me to total or subtotal by due date?

Thank you for your help!

Glad to see you in the Community, LindaJG.

I’m here to help run a report that will show the upcoming checks totaled by the due date.

Based on the details shared, run the A/R Aging Detail Report and export it to Excel. Then, manually total the amount by the due date.

Here’s how:

  1. At the top menu bar, click Reports and choose Customers & Receivables to select A/R Aging Detail.
  2. Use the Customize Report button if you want to tailor the data on the statement.
  3. In the Interval (days) and Through (days past due) field, enter the appropriate number of days.

  4. Hit the Refresh button to view the changes.
  5. Next, click the Excel drop-down to select Create New Worksheet.

  6. In the Send report to Excel window, mark the radio button for Create new worksheet and choose between: in new workbook or in existing workbook.

  7. Press the Export button.
  8. On the spreadsheet, add a total or subtotal it by the due date.

Here are some articles that will guide you on how to refine the information on a report as well as instructions to export it to Excel.

Reach out to me if you need further assistance while working in QuickBooks. I’m more than happy to help and make sure you’re taken care of. Have a great rest of the day.
