When creating progress invoices, can I set the toggle to default to $ instead of %? I do not bill on a percentage basis and having to toggle each line is time-consuming.

When creating progress invoices, can I set the toggle to default to $ instead of %? I do not bill on a percentage basis and having to toggle each line is time-consuming.

Setting the $ option as a default when converting your estimates to invoices is essential to avoid mistakes and indeed saves time, Dawn. I'm here to share details about this.

 

The functionality to add the $ option as a default is unavailable in QuickBooks Online. As a workaround, I suggest manually selecting how much you want to invoice and enter the exact amount.

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to + New and select Invoice.
  2. Choose Feedback.
  3. Enter your suggestion to improve the invoice features.
  4. Once done, click on Submit feedback.

Unfortunatley, this is the canned response I have gotten to every question I have asked since the new and improved QBO rolled out.  I'll submit feedback once again.  Super frustrating because all the changes have added a tremendous amount of time to my progress billing process.
