When I convert an estimate to an invoice it is putting the estimate in rejected instead of closing the estimate. It is doing this both on app and desktop.

Greetings, @knpownall. I can share with you some insights about the rejected estimate in QuickBooks Online.

Before we start, are you using QuickBooks Desktop before and you switch to the Online version? Inactive estimates from the Desktop will be marked as "Rejected" once it is converted to QBO.

Moreover, if an estimate is in Rejected status, you can always go in and manually change the status back to Accepted on the web if you want to use that estimate to create an invoice.

Here's how to replace it to closed.

  1. Go to the Sales menu on the left.
  2. Select Customers.
  3. Click the customer and find the estimate.
  4. Choose the down arrow in the Action column.
  5. Click Update status.
  6. Select Closed from the drop-down.
  7. Click OK to save.

This can also be replaced by opening the estimate and changing the status drop-down under the customer's name. For your reference, here is our article about estimates: Set up and use estimates.

Hi, @knpownall.

Hope you’re doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about the estimate concern you had the other day. Was it resolved? Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I’d be happy to help you at any time.

Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!
