I recognize how important it is to send estimates without taxes, stittle71-outloo. I'd be delighted to share the steps to help you sort this out.

If you haven't collected sales tax on one or more items, you can turn off the Sales tax feature. Doing this removes the Tax column on the estimates.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Taxes menu.
  2. Select the Sales Tax tab.
  3. Click the Sales tax settings link.
  4. At the upper-right corner, select Turn off sales tax.
  5. Click Yes to confirm.

If you've already collected taxes, you can edit your items and make them Non-taxable. This way, the items won't be taxable when you create and send estimates.

Follow these steps below:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and then select Products and services.
  2. Locate the item/s.
  3. Under the Action column, select Edit.
  4. From the Sales tax section, select Edit sales tax.
  5. Choose Nontaxable.

  6. Click Done, then select Save and close.

Aside from that, you can also mark your customers as Tax-Exempt. I'll show you how:

  1. From the Sales menu, select Customers.
  2. Choose the customer you want to be tax-exempt.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Select the Tax info tax.
  5. Place a checkmark beside the This customer is tax exempt box.
  6. Choose a reason for exemption.

  7. Click on the Save button.

Additionally, I've included an article that'll help you personalize your estimates in QuickBooks Online. This way, you'll be able to add the info that matters most to your business: Customize Sales Forms.

I'm only a post away if you need more help in sending your sales transactions in QuickBooks, stittle71-outloo.  It's always my pleasure to help you out again.
