Hi, @jimwbu5201.

I'd recommend you do a backup first before making some changes, and then you clear them one by one manually. It won't affect your balances. here's how:

  1.  Select the Accountant option, then Click Chart of Accounts.
  2. Choose the Account that you're working on.
  3. To clear the transaction, At the check row, the check mark is for clear, and the asterisk is reconciled.

Additionally, common issues when running the previous reconciliation report in QuickBooks Desktop and recommended solutions: Resolve common issues on the Previous Reconciliation report.

AldritchM thank you for your reply.

In step 1 you say

  1.  Select the Accountant option, then Click Chart of Accounts.

We cannot see an Accountant option in our Quickbooks Desktop Pro Plus 2024. Can you supply more detail on how we can see that option?

Thank you for your help!

I appreciate you getting back to us, @jimwbu5201.

Let me guide you through the process of manually changing the uncleared status of your transactions.

Before proceeding, I'd like to reiterate backing up your company file to have a restore point in case an error occurs while changing the status of your transactions. Although changing the status of your transactions affects the reconciliation status of your transactions, doing so won't affect your balances. Here are the steps:

  1. In your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), go to Banking.
  2. Select Use register, then select the bank account where the uncleared transactions are.
  3. Put a check mark on a transaction at issue to mark it as cleared.

  4. Select Record, then hit OK.

Normally, upgrading your QBDT version should not change the cleared status of your transactions. I'd recommend running a previous reconciliation report to review your cleared and uncleared transactions. You can then refer to this guide under the "Cleared transactions appear as uncleared" section for the detailed steps in resolving this: Resolve common issues on the Previous Reconciliation report.

As a future help, let me add this article as a guide in case you encounter data-integrity problems in your QBDT Pro 2024: Verify and Rebuild Data in QuickBooks Desktop.

You're always welcome in the Community should you need further assistance marking uncleared transactions as cleared in QBDT. We'll do our best to assist. Take care.
