I see how great it would be to add a unit of measure to show an item's quantities, prices, rates, and costs. As of now, this option is only available in QuickBooks Desktop.
As a workaround, you may look for an application that can achieve this task. As I'm unable to recommend an app, you can browse this page to check and see the lists of apps supported by QuickBooks Online: QuickBooks Online Applications.
I suggest sending this product suggestion to be available in QuickBooks Online. You can do so by clicking the Gear icon and then selecting Feedback. Enter a brief description of your request and then click Next. Your feedback goes to our Product Development team to help QuickBooks have a more friendly user interface. You can track feature requests through the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.
