Which plan is required for recurring invoices?

Hello, dubloon2.

I'd like to add some more details about the requirement for using and creating a recurring invoice.

As what Fiat mentioned, at least the Essentials plan is required if you want to use and create recurring invoices (and other recurring transactions).

If you have the Simple Start plan, consider upgrading your subscription to Essentials, Plus or Advanced.

After upgrading or if you already have the Essentials (or above) plan, here's how we can create a recurring invoice:

  1. Click the Gear icon menu, then select Recurring transactions.
  2. Proceed with the New button.
  3. Select the Transaction Type to Invoice, then hit OK.
  4. Customize or set the options for your recurring invoice template.
  5. Once done, click Save template.

Take note that QuickBooks handles the template depending on what type you selected. Take look at the article linked by Fiat for more details (expand the What type should I pick? section).

If you need a guide or two in running reports for your transactions and other financial data, check out this article: Run reports in QuickBooks Online.

This thread's still open if you have more questions about the Recurring transactions feature. You can also ask any other questions about how to record a certain transaction or manage your lists. Always here to help.
