Hello there, khoren-ethos-sch.
When running a business, I understand the value of time and money. I'm here to help you get the most out of QuickBooks Online (QBO) and use it smoothly.
We use in-product ads to help optimize your QuickBooks experience by suggesting timely and relevant new features and program updates. That's why you're seeing pop-up messages or advertisements in your company. To prevent them from appearing again, click the "X" or "Close" button.
For additional resources, you can browse the Marketing Preferences guide. It includes some links on how to control some of the advertising from strategic service providers.
We also collated articles to help users accomplish their accounting activities efficiently. The QuickBooks Online (QBO) guide contains topics that will show you how to manage your taxes, payroll, and banking related-processes, to name a few.
Keep me posted below if you require further assistance while working in QBO or have other product concerns. I'll get back to make sure to help and make sure you're taken care of. Have a good one.
Thank you for your reply. I do close the ad/dialogue boxes, but as soon as I change pages, the dialogue box returns. QuickBooks should offer a "Do Not Show Me This Ad Again" option. It is very annoying, especially for a product that is paid for monthly on a subscription basis. Having a section where we could opt to see offers that may apply to us is one thing. To have it constantly thrown at us is a sure way to lose business. I would appreciate it if you passed this word of advice along.
Hello and thank you for your response. I have closed the windows every time they pop up, only to have the exact same window return as soon as I change or refresh pages. QuickBooks should make two changes immediately.
1) Give us the option of "Do Not Show This Ad Again."
2) An offers tab that allows those who are looking for ad on services to browse current products offered.
At this point, they are just annoying paying customers who (like me) are probably wondering why they are paying a monthly subscription to be constantly harassed and annoyed. I'm sorry that this is a duplicate. Apparently, I cannot delete it, but it did not show the first comment and I thought that it was lost.
This isn't the kind of impression that I'd like you to have, khoren-ethos-sch.
I understand that the pop-up may slow down your workflow if you're already familiar with the steps it provides. Please know that this feature is designed to guide you on how to optimize your QuickBooks Online experience.
While the option is not yet available, I'll take note of this so our developers will know that this is something that they need to consider removing. Rest assured they're working nonstop to enhance the product and deliver the best experience for all QuickBooks users.
I encourage sending us your suggestions and feedback (Gear icon > Profile > Feedback). This way, our Product Development Team will know what our customers would like to see improved.
In the meantime, you can browse our help page in case you need help managing QuickBooks-related tasks. It has topics with articles to guide you along: View all help for QuickBooks Online.
Reach out to me again through this thread if you have follow-up questions or concerns with QuickBooks. I'll be around for you. Take care and have a great day ahead.
Does anyone believe that these incredibly annoying ads are for our benefit and not to make QBs money? I certainly don't. And they don't go away just because I close them. A new one is right on it's heels. Sure would be nice if QB listened to feedback and got rid of them or at least let us opt out of the things. We pay for this program. We shouldn't have to deal with ads constantly.
