Why can I no longer view invoice payments

The entire Invoice view has changed and not in a good way. I am having a lot of trouble navigating through an invoice, invoicing the customer and viewing past invoice payments

Why can I no longer view invoice payments

Let me guide you on how you can view invoice payments and past invoices, Rosalie.

The new invoice layout is about streamlining invoicing processes, incorporating user feedback and the latest usability research all combined in one. You'll want to edit the invoice to view its payment. Then select the Transaction Journal or Audit history to view the details of the payment. I've added a screenshot for your visual guide:

On the other, you can go to the Invoices tab and filter the status and dates to view the previous invoices.

Furthermore, learn how to customize the appearance and layout of sales forms to enhance your business communication. To learn more, read this article for reference: Customize Invoices, Estimates, and Sales Receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Why can I no longer view invoice payments

Neither Transaction Journal nor Audit History show the payment.  Audit History shows when it was paid but nothing about the payment.  I used to be able to click on Payment in invoice view and QBO would take me to the payment; showing me the payment and also where the payment was applied.  I can't figure out how to do this in the "new and improved" QBO.  Tell me where I can find this function.

Why can I no longer view invoice payments

I appreciate your effort to review the payment associated with the invoices, @jcarmona2671.

To view the payment link on the new invoice interface, open the invoice and find the payment hyperlink below the Invoice total. Click on it to access the attached payment. Please refer to the screenshot below:

Once figured out, you can refer to this article to learn how to deposit multiple payments from various sources simultaneously: Record and make bank deposits.

Keep us posted if you have other queries about linked payments. I'm always here to help. Have a nice day.
