I appreciate you for bringing this issue to our attention. Let me help you fix this issue, @dprice-xix-gmail.
To start, did you receive an error code when sending an invoice? When using a mobile application, you’ll need to make sure you have the updated version so you won’t receive errors when sending invoices.
I also recommend logging in to your QuickBooks Online account on a browser. This way, it will help us identify if it is a mobile app issue.
If it works on a browser, here are a few troubleshooting steps to get this working on your mobile app.
Let me know how this goes so we can further assist you. Thanks!
There is no option to share an invoice via text message in the app. The invoices share just fine through email but most of my customers request I text it to them. You are able to share via text in the self employed version but I recently upgraded to QB online and it’s a different app and the share via mms does not exist?? Am I missing a work around for this or can this be added??
There is no option to share via text message only email. I need to be able to send an invoice link through text message not email
Hi there, @dprice-xix-gmail.
We're unable to share an invoice via text message in the app at this time.
I know how important it is to be able to share an invoice via text for a faster and easier transaction with customers who prefer this system. Also, I'd suggest visiting our blog site anytime to stay current with the latest features and product enhancements in QuickBooks Online.
In the meantime, you can integrate an application with QuickBooks and allow you to send invoice text messages. You can go to the Apps menu in your QuickBooks Online account (it can be done efficiently while using a browser).
Here's how:
For more details about the different file types that you can attach to any transactions in QBO, see it through this link: Email and customize sales form.

The answer here has been botched so badly it's embarrassing.
On the Desktop and browser version of QBO, one can generate and invoice link to send a client.
This is not an option in the mobile app from the looks of it, but it really should be. The only option for sending is via email in the app.
Please advise on any way to obtain the invoice payment link via mobile app.
Hello there, @amy62.
I can see the importance of the product suggestion you've pointed out. I'd recommend sending feedback to our product developers so they can assess this for future enhancements of the QuickBooks Online (QBO) Mobile App. I'd be happy to show you the way on how to send feedback through QBO on browser.
Also, I'd encourage you to check our Firm of the Future page to see more of the latest product updates of QuickBooks.
Feel free to let me know in the comment section if you have other questions. I'm here to back you up.
why dont YOU do it since you work there!!!!!
There is a work around. If you are on a computer, you can select to copy the link. Then email the link to yourself. Then go to your mobile device and open the email. Then copy the link and paste it into your text message. A little extra work, but we will do anything to get paid, right! LOL
A faster work around is to log into your account using your phone browser, find the invoice you want to share the invoice link from, copy and paste into the client’s text.
Agreed, the app really should include this feature.
