Why can’t I get the custom reports for this acct

Hi, @laura517ivy. The likely cause is that you're not using the QuickBooks Online (QBO) Advanced subscription. Custom reporting features, like building reports from scratch with unique data sets, are only available on this level.

 

If you're on the lower tiers (QBO Simple Start, Essentials, or Plus), you'll need to upgrade.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon at the top right.
  2. Select Account and Settings, then go to Subscriptions and billing.

  3. Review your current plan. If you need more robust reporting, choose Upgrade your plan.

   Note: After activation or upgrade, the Custom Reports list may not refresh immediately. If you don’t see your reports right away, sign out and sign back in to help the data sync.

 

Once you're finished, please follow these steps to customize your reports.
