Why can't we create a Statement for a Sub-Customer?

This seems like something we should be able to do. And why doesn't the error message you get when you try to create a statement for a sub-customer simply say "you can only create statements for top-level customers"?

Obligatory: we need to be able to default to classic view for all reports. Enhanced view is terrible.

Why can't we create a Statement for a Sub-Customer?

Thank you for reaching out about this concern, @Tezz3404.

Adding a statement to your sub-customer provides a clear overview of the products and services billed to them. You can generate a statement for your sub-customer by unchecking the Bill parent customer.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Sales, then select Customers.
  2. On the Search box, enter your sub-customer's name.
  3. Click on the Edit button.12.png
  4. Under Name and Contact, uncheck the Bill parent customer. 112.png

  5.  Press Save.

I acknowledge your decision to switch back to the Classic View. Please note that only certain reports can be reverted to this view. Nevertheless, here's how you can do it:

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Select the report you want to customize.
  3. Click Switch to Classic view.

You have the option to customize statements to align with your preferences and meet your customer's need.

Let me know if this works on your end. If you need further assistance regarding statements, feel free to leave a comment. We're always here to assist you.
