Why is a field for "Permit Number" appearing on my bill entry screen? That was not there before and I didn't ask for it.

Permit Number is triggered once you create a multiple state tax in the Sales Tax center. Inactivating the other state taxes won't remove the Permit Number field but disabling sales tax will do. However, disabling sales tax is not advisable though.

If you'd like to leave any feedback about removing the Permit Number field, I suggest sending your product suggestions/feedback straight to our product developers/engineers for future product updates.

Do you know there is no option to disable sales tax. even if it was activated/enable by mistake. Doesn't looks like you are a QB team member.
