Why is it showing credit on one of the transactions and applying the payment automatically to invoice 1130?

QuickBooks has a function that applies available credits to open invoices. Thus, causing the invoice 1130 to be paid automatically.

Here's how we can turn this function off:

1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner and select Account and Settings.
2. Select the Advanced tab and go to the Automation section.
3. Turn off the Automatically apply credits function.
4. Click Save and Done.

Then, let's delete the applied payment. Let me show you how:

1. Open the invoice 1130.
2. Click the 1 payment made hyperlink below the PAYMENT STATUS PAID.
3. Click More at the bottom of the Receive Payment window.
4. Select Delete and choose Yes to confirm the action.

Since we've already turned of the Automatically apply credits function, your future invoices won't be paid automatically.
