Why is it that the latest Mobile App QBO update makes it so the invoices created from the mobile app is all messed up

Heres a short list of problems;

- Automatically averages up pricing of products ($14.99 to $15)

- Doesn't allow me to put in anything in "rep" field that I previously was able to do in the app

- The format for the invoice is completely different, even after selecting our premade template. Our payment instructions now no longer exist and I cannot put them there.

Why update the app, change everything, and take away previous abilities? I'm forced to use the web version now, either mobile or desktop. The exact opposite of the point of having a mobile app

Why is it that the latest Mobile App QBO update makes it so the invoices created from the mobile app is all messed up

I appreciate you for the detailed information, Veritabledi. I can understand how hard it must be for you when QBO's latest mobile app messes up your invoices.

To address the common issues you are experiencing with the application, we can follow certain procedures. Firstly, we can clear the app data of your application to refresh it and fix the issue of the average pricing of the products going up automatically. Please ensure that you are connected to the internet and then follow the steps below:

 For iOS:

  1. Tap the Menu ☰ and click the Help & Feedback.
  2. Click the Refresh Data.
  3. To confirm, click Refresh.

For Android:

  1. Select the menu at the top right and choose Settings.
  2. Then select Refresh Data and choose Yes.

In your Phone Settings:

  • Android - From your phone's settings, select Apps (varies by device). Choose the QuickBooks app from the list and select Storage. Select clear data.

  • iOS - From your phone's settings, select Settings, then, click on General and choose iPhone Storage. Select an app that's taking up a lot of space. To free up the storage without deleting the documents and data for the app, select Offload App.

Once you've refreshed the app, restart your mobile phone and check if the pricing of products still automatically increases. If the issue persists, you can uninstall and reinstall the QuickBooks mobile app.

Regarding the sales rep field, there's no dedicated field for sales rep in the mobile app. However, you can use class tracking instead. Please note that the class tracking will be hidden from your customers.

As for the invoice format, the custom template you created will not appear in the app because the app has its default template. However, you can still use your pre-made template through the web or mobile browser.

While our mobile app currently has some limitations, I suggest that you share your feedback directly with our product engineers. To do this, Tap the Menu ☰ and click  Help & Feedback.

Finally, check out this article to learn which QuickBooks Online mobile app features are supported on mobile devices: Compare mobile app features.

If you have any questions, feedback, or concerns regarding the issue of automatically increasing the average pricing of products or invoices, please don't hesitate to come back to the Community, Veritabledi. I will be happy to assist you.

Why is it that the latest Mobile App QBO update makes it so the invoices created from the mobile app is all messed up

I’d appreciate any advice on how to show my custom field on the Mobil app invoice. I created this to reference the property address of my clients. In the old invoice view I could easily see which invoice applied to each project. Now I have to open as pdf to preview the invoice to know which address is what.

way too much extra work.

Let me share info about showing custom fields in the QuickBooks mobile app, Tina.

When saying you want to show custom fields, are you referring to a user interface (UI) to view this on the mobile app? If so, this preference is unavailable in the program. Custom fields can only be viewed once you open the invoice or view them as a PDF.

I can see how this option would help you review your client's property address. Therefore, I recommend sending feedback to our developers. They can review your suggestions and likely incorporate them in future enhancements.

Here's how to send feedback:

  1. Go to Settings and click Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions. Then, select Next to submit feedback.

You can track feature requests through the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.

Moreover, features available on the QuickBooks Online mobile app vary on the devices you're using. To learn more about this, follow these steps: Compare mobile app features.

Please feel free to post here again if you have any other concerns about showing invoice custom fields in the QBO mobile app. I'm always here to provide further assistance. Have a great day.
