Why is there a new field on the SR "Location of Sale", where is the data derived from, and why did it change from "Shipping From"?

Thanks for reaching out to us regarding your shipping fields concern, @. Let's get this sorted out as I share some information about the Location of Sale in QuickBooks Online.

The Shipping from address of your customer's invoices is based on the location of sale or your default company address. You’re also right about how it became the Location of Sale.

If you’ll need to update this address, you can do so from your Accounts and Settings before creating an invoice.

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under Your Company, select Accounts and Settings.
  3. Select Company.
  4. Click Address.
  5. On the Company address section, enter the address you wanted to reflect on your customer's invoices.
  6. Select Save.
  7. Click Done.

You’ll want to check these articles for additional information about the automated sales tax in QBO:

If I can be of any additional assistance, please let me know by leaving a comment below. I'll always have your back whenever you have more queries with taxes in QBO. Take care always.

Thank you for the material.  This change is of course useless to unpleasant to any company with more than one location but I have found QB to be very bad at teasing out the results of programming changes.
