Let me help you calculate your overtime premium in the QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Payroll.
First off, make sure to double-check the code you're using, and before running your payroll, ensure to set the overtime premium preference. Otherwise, your Workers' Compensation reports will be inaccurate. Here's how:
- Go to Edit, and click Preferences.
- Select Benefits & HR, then hit the Company Preferences tab.
- Click Workers Compensation.
- Ensure to tick on the Track Workers Comp and Exclude overtime premium from Workers Comp calculation checkboxes.
- Once done, select OK, then OK.
Moreover, I'm adding this article as your reference in paying your workers' compensation premiums in QBDT: Pay Workers' Compensation premiums in QuickBooks Desktop.
