Zelle payment credit to customer account, not to pay an invoice

My customers regularly keep a credit balance on their accounts.   Is there a way in Banking > For Review to credit a downloaded Zelle payment directly to a specific customer's credit balance?

I am currently receiving payment, then going back and matching the payment.   There must be a way to do this in a single step, directly from the "For Review" window.

I already know I can "match" to an invoice.   But this is a credit balance, so there is no invoice to match.

Hi there, @AirKevin.

I hear you. Thank you for letting us know how you manage to make a workaround for online credit balances made by your customers and get them categorized for your sales transactions in QuickBooks.

Saying you've been creating a payment, going back to match it with an invoice, and this is taking much of your work, I recommend letting your voice be heard throughout the entire platform by sending your experience via feedback. I'll walk you through the steps to accomplish this.

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under PROFILE, select Feedback.
  3. Describe how you wish to match a downloaded transaction with an existing credit balance is helping you work efficiently in QuickBooks.
  4. Select Next.
  5. Click Skip and send message.

I'm including our Customer Feedback for QuickBooks Online page to track the status of your request and get the latest updates from our developers. Updates such as how the recent enhancement made to QBO helps our business owners, like you.

It'll always be my pleasure to help if you've got other questions aside from working with online payments and sales transactions in QuickBooks. I'll be here to help.

Zelle payment credit to customer account, not to pay an invoice

Hi Jonpril,

I think you misunderstood the question...

But I think that you meant Quickbooks can't do it and I should suggest it.

Thank you,

Kevin

Zelle payment credit to customer account, not to pay an invoice

Has this been addressed by Quickbooks yet?  I just started using Zelle thinking it would be a nice convenience for my clients.  I don't want it to be a headache for me.

Thanks,

Zelle payment credit to customer account, not to pay an invoice

Hi there, laurarice26.

The option to credit Zelle payments to credits to customers, not to pay an invoice is not available in QuickBooks Online.

While you're waiting, you can send a feature request to our product developers to let them know about your request. Our product developers may implement this feature in the future.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QBO account.
  2. Click the Gear icon at the top, then Feedback.
  3. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  4. Press Next.

Once done, our designated team will review it. You can track your future requests through the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.

If you have more concerns related to transactions, don't hesitate to hit the reply button. We're here to assist you anytime. Take care.
