I found the problem and fixed it. I can now get the report. Thanks
Thank you so much for your help. I was having the same issue and did not know why or how to fix the problem. I did not remember being like that last year. Is this something new in Quickbooks? I appreciate your kindness and willing to help others by your posting and your steps are so clear and precise. You save me so much time and frustration on this issue. Much much appreciated.
1099 REPORT IS BLANK:
TO GET 1099 REPORT TO POPULATE GO TO:
REPORTS, VENDORS, 1099 SUMMARY,
THEN CHOOSE “ONLY 1099 ACCOUNTS”
CHANGE THAT DROP DOWN TO
“All ALLOWED ACCOUNTS”
NOW 1099 IS POPULATED
(make sure you added who you want to this list by going to Vendor, choose vendor for report, hit the pencil icon, then tax settings, then chk “Vendor eligible for 1099”

The "fixes" are so out of date, they do not apply to QB online in 2024. My 1099 report was blank; I remapped accounts; but STILL not all my NEC and MISC vendors are not showing when I use the work-around to print 1099s -- as opposed to using the actual report feature, which in and of itself is insane. Why have a report that is known not to work? Why the supposed work-around? Why not have a report feature that actually works like desktop used to? SO FRUSTRATING
