Automated Sales Tax

Is there a way to get rid of this warning:

Something's not quite right
You’re not set up to collect sales tax for this sale. If you need to collect tax, click on 'See the Math' and add/update the appropriate tax agency.

I do NOT need to collect sales tax for any customer of mine that is not in my state.  I have verified this with my accountant.  I have had it set up for 10 years now that all my out of state customers are not taxed.

I read about the wayfair thing causing this change, but I in no way qualify in sales (I read 100k in that state which I don't even do 100k a year) to ever have to pay sales tax to states I'm not in.

QBO desperately wants me to set up sales tax agencies in other states.  I'm so tired of the warning.  I can work around it easily enough in the old invoice format.  But when I tried using the new one (which I hate because the font is so tiny and hard to read), I had to go in EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. and tell it that out of state customer is tax exempt.  It wouldn't even remember that I've already told QBO that that client doesn't pay taxes, and I don't want to set up to collect taxes for that state.

QBO: please fix this!!!

FWIW, I'm in Texas.

Automated Sales Tax

I understand your frustration with the persistent warning, ktags.

By default, QuickBooks Online calculates the total sales tax rate based on the customer's exempt status, the location of the sale/shipment, and the product's sales tax category. The message you've encountered is triggered by the system as a way to prompt users to address potential sales tax implications in various jurisdictions. Currently, the option to permanently remove it is unavailable in QuickBooks Online.

Since you already confirmed with your accountant that you're not required to collect taxes for sales made outside of your state, we can safely disregard this alert by clicking the X icon. While it can be a bit of an inconvenience, please rest assured that it doesn't impact your compliance.

Furthermore, your feedback about this issue is essential to us. We value your input as it helps us understand how to improve our products and better cater to our customers' needs. I encourage you to share your thoughts by following the steps below:
