I have recently stepped into handling the accounting through QB Online for our small business. I'm trying to determine if I need to set up an EFTPS account, and the CEO is not certain whether he previously did this.
Does anyone know whether QB uses EFTPS when filing federal withholding? If they do, that would answer my question, and I'd be able to check that reports and withholding are being filed in a timely manner.
Thank you.

@LP60 I don't know whether QBO does, but Desktop certainly did. Though, I haven't tried using the QuickBooks EPay since EFTPS started requiring MFA for their website.
It would probably be worth setting an EFTPS account up in any case; it's a fairly quick process, and it's not a bad idea to have a back-up for when QBO inevitably breaks itself again.
Thank you so much!

Thanks for posting here, LP60. I've got some details about filing federal withholding with QuickBooks Online (QBO).
I agree with FishingForAnswers that QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) requires an Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS) account when filing federal taxes and forms.
On the other hand, QBO has a different way of doing this. Unlike QBDT, QBO doesn't require EFTPS. If you consider using E-services, QuickBooks will pay and file your taxes and forms electronically.
