Hello,
I have changed our EFTPS bank for Federal and State taxes. Everything is working correctly, taxes are being pulled from the new bank and accepted by the state and the Feds. There is one item that I cannot figure out how to change. When I make the Federal Tax payment (in QBD), the Agency listed on the summary screen is still the Old Bank, not the new bank (nor the US Dept of Treasury).
Does anyone know where in QB Desktop I need to go to change this? I've looked throughout QB and just cannot find it.
Thanks in advance.
THanks.

Hello Eman:
I have completed all of those steps. The bank account has been changed and my payments are being withdrawn correctly. However, the AGENCY field in QB is still showing the old bank.
I attached a screen shot and whited out my account info. City National Bank is the new bank. The Bank account and routing fields are correct. However, the agency field is still showing First Republic Bank, which is my old bank. How do I change this to either US Treasury or City National Bank?

Hello @SarahannC :
Thank you very much. Your solution worked. That was not intuitive at all. I had been on the "Scheduled Payments" for 941 a few times already. I made sure that it was set to E-Pay and the payee was "US Treasury." Who would think you need to select Check, even though you aren't paying by check and E-Pay already shows the right payee. Very odd procedure, but it does seem to be correct now.

I saw your post and wanted to let you know, we had this issue previously. Apparently you have to obtain a new pin# with eftps through their website at the change account information stage. You don't have to wait to recieve it, you assign it yourself. Then EFTPS keeps the old banking information for payment, and the new banking information as well. Then you change the information in quick books to the new information. We had many issues with this and trials until we figured it out.
Thank You,
Lyn
Thanks for the comments. It is confusing, but in my case, everything was updated on the EFTPS system (PW and bank). It was working correctly too (meaning funds coming out of the new account and being correctly applied to our tax account), but QB kept showing the agency as the old bank. I did get a fix that worked in this thread, but it was not something I would have ever tried.
