To generate a 941 for a previous quarter, record the tax payment first and then save the filing manually, @cacarr.
Here's how:
- Navigate the Taxes menu and then select Payroll Tax.
- Go to Filings.
- Click the Filter button, check the 941 box, and hit Apply.
- (Optional) If you haven't yet paid, find the 941 in question, and click the dropdown arrow beside the File button and select Preview.

- To record the tax payment and filing, click File and then select Pay.
- Then click Record payment and choose Back to filing.
- Hit Record filing.
- Go to Resources and select Archive forms and filings.
- Find the 941 in question and hit View.
