I do not have a 941 form option to view or file for Q1

  1. Make sure you paid all taxes related to the form you want to file (see Step 2).
  2. Go to Taxes, and select Payroll tax.
  3. Select Filings
  4. You’ll see your forms to file under Action Needed. Forms due later will show in Coming Up. You can select Filter to find the specific form you need faster.
  5. Select File on the form you want to file.
  6. Make sure the File Electronically box is selected.
  7. Select Submit
  8. You can see your filed form under Done and print it if needed.

I don't have the 941 listed anywhere, not even archived to press file, or even view?

I do not have a 941 form option to view or file for Q1

Hi there, @ndingwell. Let me share some steps to help view the 941 tax form in QuickBooks.

Once you complete your payroll tax setup and create your paychecks, the 941 tax form should be available on the list.

Sometimes, too much accumulation of your browser's cache can cause unusual behavior in QuickBooks. This can be the reason why you're unable to see the form.

To address the issue, open your account in a private window. It will prevent the browser history from being saved. Please refer to the following keyboard shortcut keys to access this mode:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If this works, clear the browser's cache to refresh QuickBooks. You can also use other supported browsers as an alternative.

In addition, you can run several payroll reports to view useful info about your business and employees in QuickBooks.

Don't hesitate to get back to this thread if you have follow-up questions about filing or viewing your 941 tax form in QuickBooks. I'll be here to help.
